Experience
I always found myself tutoring my friends in classes we were taking at the same time. I "get" things extremely quickly and find that I can explain it in a way that they can understand. Which is why I want to be a tutor. Seeing the lightbulb, if you will, go off in someone's head and the happiness they feel when they finally understand is priceless. I am a current honors student at Moorpark college and I have received over a 95% in all of my classes but one, Honors American Government, which I received an 89%. I've taken honors psychology, sociology, documentary film, Algebra, Honors English A and C, Honors Statistics, Honors Neuroscience, Mass Comm, Interpersonal Communication, US History, World History, and Public Speaking. I currently compete at the collegiate level in Speech competitions, so if any public speaking coaching is needed I would be happy to help! But truly I could teach almost anything, as long as I'm somewhat familiar with the concepts. I have a lot of experience with children, as I worked as a daycare provider for a year, so any grade school tutoring is extremely welcome as well!

I am a believer that a kind, understanding and open communication style is integral to learning. Allowing the student to feel okay that they don't understand, but instilling confidence in them that they can do it, and they will understand is vital. I have a very bubbly personality, I love having fun while working hard. I am active, and like to keep busy and working towards a goal. On a typical day, when my homework has been done and my house been cleaned you can find me with my friends and family, enjoying quality time with the people closest to me!
